Le symbole des Jeux Méditerranéens est constitué de trois cercles représentant l'Asie, l'Afrique et l'Europe, les trois continents concernés par cette compétition. Dans la partie inférieure, les anneaux sont caractérisés par une ligne plus floue, comme s'ils étaient immergés dans la Mer Méditerranée. Ce symbole figure sur le drapeau méditerranéen, avec des anneaux blancs sur fond bleu clair. Durant la cérémonie de clôture, le drapeau est remis au pays dont la ville a été choisie pour accueillir la prochaine édition des Jeux méditerranéens.
